The KC Star carried an article today about the new law in Kansas of Refusing a Test, making it a crime to refuse to submit to a breath, blood or urine test when demanded by an officer. The article quoted me as the only person opposed to the law. The comments are always entertaining and disturbing, as they include several people who literally advocate the death penalty for DUI. I hope to provide a slightly more rational discussion of the law itself in more detail soon. It will go into effect on July 1, 2012.
