Possession of Marijuana in Kansas

I recently posted a lot of information to our website about Kansas’ law regarding possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute/sell marijuana, cultivation of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. The link is here. As of July 1, 2012, the law in Kansas got a whole lot harsher with respect to felony drug charges, including possession of marijuana with the intent to sell. While other states are legalizing marijuana for certain purposes, Kansas is still sending people to prison for long sentences when it comes to some weed-related crimes. The Kansas marijuana page on our site discusses the law, potential penalties, probation conditions like the “Color Code” and some defenses to a marijuana charge in Kansas.

Our law firm represents people charged with possession of marijuana and related charges in Johnson County, Douglas County, Wyandotte County, Leavenworth County, Miami County and Linn County, as well as other surrounding jurisdictions. Our lawyers regularly defend possession of marijuana charges in Overland Park, Lenexa, Olathe, Shawnee, Prairie Village, Mission, Leawood, Gardner, Lawrence and other cities in the area.

If you have been charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell or possession of paraphernalia in Kansas, please call the attorneys at Norton Hare for further information and advice regarding these charges.
